Graham Beck Méthode Cap Classique Brut Rosé NV - Western Capep

An effortlessly smooth blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, with aromas of raspberries and cherries, as well as minerality. The family-owned house of Gruet traces its roots and winemaking back to the seventeenth century. The producer is located in Buxeuil in the south of Champagne. The nose has notes of citrus, baked fruit and vanilla. The palate has very fine and creamy mousse and combines finesse and lightness.

Brampton Sauvignon Blanc - Western Cape

This Sauvignon Blanc is made in a lively and fresh style, displaying complex but beautifully balanced fruit.



Warwick Estate Professor Black Sauvignon Blanc - Stellenbosch

With 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Semillon, this wine offers lime zest, passion fruit, nectarine, spearmint, flint and fresh oregano. A crisp entry, mouth-watering unison of kiwi fruit, tropical fruit salad following through to a dry, fresh, lingering finish.




KWV Reserve Sauvignon Blanc - Stellenbosch

Ken Forrester Petit Chenin Blanc (unwooded) - Western Cape

A perfect everyday drinking wine. A youthful, fresh wine with quince and pear drop flavours. Earlier picked freshness shows on the palate with crunchy green apple and grapefruit flavours. Good mouthfeel and appetisingly tangy finish.




Kloof Street Chenin Blanc (unwooded) - Swartland

Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of sun-ripened pears and wet granite. The palate has a vibrant acidity balanced by a soft, round texture and some pithy character. The wine has a fresh, mineral finish.




Ken Forrester Old Vine Reserve Chenin Blanc (wooded) - Stellenbosch

Golden-hued and full-bodied, with melon and spicy baked apple aromas. Layered, with mineral notes enhanced by honeycomb and caramel flavours from lees contact. This wine is a great example of the harmonious balance which can be achieved between fruit and delicate oak/vanilla flavours.




De Wetshof Limestone Hill Chardonnay (unwooded) - Robertson

An unwooded wine, Limestone Hill has notes of grapefruit and nuts, with the complexity balanced by a nuanced elegance ending with a delicate ripeness. Made by real Chardonnay connoisseurs: the De Wet family.




De Morgenzon DMZ Chardonnay (wooded) - Western Cape

This wine shows sweet vanilla and hints of almonds on the nose with a clean tropical fruit finish. Delicate oak flavours support a rich and full fruit flavour in the mouth, with layers of white peach, apricot, grapefruit and vanilla.




La Motte Chardonnay (wooded) - Franschhoek

Grapes from one specific site in the Franschhoek area are combined with a secret French barrel selection to produce the classic flavours that give this style its world-wide appeal. The wine shows lime and lemon fruit, and cashew in the background. The wine has ample finesse, with a lingering aftertaste of green apple.




Eagles’ Nest Viognier - Constantia

This wine exhibits a fresh green-golden hue, testament to its barrel fermentation and maturation. The nose shows primary Viognier aromas of ripe peach, apricot, and later, jasmine flower. A fresh, rich, mouthfilling palate infused with white stone pip flavour and telltale Viognier spices. 


White Blends

Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir - Franschhoek

This enticing blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir shows elegant fruit underlined by firm acidity. You will find an abundance of zesty fruit - most notably white peach, lychee and red fruit - with a delectable full mouthfeel and balance.



Mullineux White Blend - Swartland

Swartland old vine Chenin makes up the backbone of this white blend, which also includes other Mediterranean varieties. Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of ripe, green citrus fruit and Christmas spices. The palate is fresh and richly textured, with notes of ripe pears, almonds and peaches, and a clove-like finish. 




Leopard’s Leap Lookout Semi-sweet - Robertson

This blend of 60% Chenin Blanc and 40% Muscat has aromas of pear, apple blossom and rose petal intertwined with subtle marzipan and candied fruit, followed by delicate guava flavours and whiffs of almond on the palate. The sweet character of this wine is beautifully balanced by the natural acidity.


Rosé Wine


Gabriëlskloof Rosebud Rosé - Bot River

Rosebud is an off-dry blended Rosé made with Viognier and Shiraz fruit. Technically, this is a Blanc de Noir style of wine with a cheeky twist. On the nose, you can expect prominent rose perfume evolving into subtle notes of strawberry and caramel, with a fresh, zippy mouthfeel. 



De Morgenzon Garden Vineyards Rosé - Stellenbosch

These Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre vineyards are situated on the farm itself in the Stellenboschkloof. This crowd-pleasing Rosé displays alluring aromas and juicy flavours of cherries and strawberry nose, followed by a crispy summer fruit salad palate. The palate is accented with delicate floral and spice nuances.



Catherine Marshall Amatra Merlot - Elgin

A fantastic Merlot from Elgin’s cool climate, produced by one of South Africa’s original garagiste winemakers. Plush, ripe, purple fruit flavours and aromatics are supported by vibrant, fresh acidity to balance the opulently textured mid-core palate weight.


Pinot Noir

Catherine Marshall Clay Soils Pinot Noir - Elgin

Grown on clay soils, this wine offers a broad, seductive compote of concentrated black cherries, mulberries and cranberries, supported by mineral oak tannins. Its powerful yet silky texture is seamlessly complex throughout. An absolutely lovely wine.



Beyerskloof Pinotage - Western Cape

The Beyerskloof Pinotage boasts with being South Africa’s most popular Pinotage. This wine has shown a fruity and enjoyable consistency year after year. Strong plum flavours with velvety tannins. Well-structured, yet elegant and soft, medium-bodied with a fresh and superbly balanced finish.


Diemersfontein Pinotage - Wellington

Grapes were sourced from 6 farms in the Welllington area, each with its own terroir, bringing something unique to this wine. On the nose, distinct coffee, rich dark chocolate and baked plums, with a hint of mint. The ripe subtle tannins create a wine to be drunk very young.


Syrah / Shiraz

Spier Signature Shiraz - Western Cape

Rich ruby red in colour. Flavours of spice and ripe plums on the nose and palate with an undertow of bruléed sugar. Gentle soft tannins and a creamy aftertaste. Matured in French oak barrels for 8 - 10 months.



Zandvliet Estate Shiraz - Robertson

Dark garnet red. The wine shows deep flavours that follow through a seamless, supple and complex palate with added hints of dark chocolate. Matured in French and American oak barrels for 18 - 24 months.


Cabernet Sauvignon

Warwick First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon - Stellenbosch

The wine has a deep and intense ruby red colour. The bouquet reveals dark chocolate, bramble berries, star anise, cloves, cracked black pepper and notes of fresh thyme. The smooth, ripe, round tannins make this wine easy to drink while still retaining good structure.



Arendsig Inspiration Batch no.2 Grenache - Robertson

Grenache is the world’s most widely-planted grape, and this wine is a fine example. Violets, plums and confected sweet cherries abound on the nose, followed by a fleshy, syrupy and elegant palate full of juicy red fruit.


Red Blends

Rupert & Rothschild Classique - Western Cape

A classic Bordeaux-style blend with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Inviting cranberry and raspberry aromas with an earthy, mineral focus and a lingering cinnamon and walnut finish.



Boekenhoutskloof The Chocolate Block - Western Cape

A blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir, Cinsaut and Viognier from Swartland, Piekenierskloof, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. A vibrant wine with an iron edge running alongside prunes, mulberries, cloves and floral notes. Firm ripe tannins on the palate covered by plums, blackberries and olive tapenade.



Cavalli Warlord - Stellenbosch

Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinotage, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Mourvèdre make for a fine blend with rich berry flavours on the nose with underlying oak. On the palate, welcoming ripe cassis and plum with hints of eucalyptus and liquorice.


Reserve Wines (Red)


Shannon Mount Bullet Merlot 2012 - Elgin

This outstanding Merlot is named after Mount Bullet which stands proud at 1289m above sea level and guards the vineyards from the South Westerly storms. A nose of ripe red fruits such as plums and dark cherries, with earthy complexity and minerality. Good acidity with a well-integrated ripe and seductive tannin structure.




Meerlust Rubicon 2010 - Stellenbosch

The 2010 Rubicon is a classic vintage of this iconic wine, a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Very deep, youthful colour, an intense, almost purple hue. Very classic Rubicon nose with violets, ripe plum, cedar wood and intense spiciness. A typical liquorice note also evident on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, structured but packed with fresh dark fruit and rounded, linear tannins.



Rust & Vrede Estate Red 2012 - Stellenbosch

In this deep crimson red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, the Shiraz is very prominent on the nose, with notes of cedar and cumin in the fore, backed up by cigar box and tobacco aromas. The palate shows more of an Old World style with good complexity and classic blackberry, plum and mulberry flavours.



Morgenster Reserve 2008 - Stellenbosch

Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot make this a lovely Bordeaux-style blend. A dark plum-coloured wine with an enticing nose of almonds, coffee and sweet caramel, as well as alluring sniffs of cassis and vanilla pods. Great freshness with hints of blackberry sweetness. A very plush, elegant and mouthfilling palate of sweeter dark berry fruit and minerality.



Anthonij Rupert Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 - Western Cape

Rich spicy fruitcake, cedar and tobacco leaf abundance on the nose. Complex and generous. There’s more of the same in the mouth with a generous abundance of black cherry, nutmeg, clove and cedar spice. Svelte and poised, the wine is superbly elegant with the oak and fruit beautifully integrated. Powerful and big yet leashed with ample depth, breadth and length. It is effortlessly sophisticated and offers heaps of enjoyment.



Waterford The Jem 2010 - Stellenbosch

The Jem is an expression of the Helderberg - Stellenbosch terroir, and is named after Jeremy Ord, the proprietor of Waterford Estate. It shows restrained aromas of pencil shavings, spices and cassis. The classically dry palate has a seamless balance between fruit purity and tannin austerity with a medium acidity.

Alvi’s Drift Muscat de Frontignan 2010 - Worcester

An outstanding example of a rich, ripe and luscious fortified dessert wine. The wine has a lovely golden colour. The nose is filled with complex aromas of dried fruits, Muscat grapes and Christmas pudding. The high sugar level of the wine gives it a viscous and decadent mouthfeel. The wine fills the palate with an explosion of dried apricot, peach and nutty flavours.

Boplaas Cape Vintage Reserve 2011 - Western Cape

A quartet of Portuguese varietals - Tinta Barocca, Touriga Nacional, Souzao & Touriga Francesca - combine in this inky black wine bursting forth with a bouquet of crushed blackberry, blueberry, tart cranberry, kirsch and purple plums with bright all-spice top notes intermingled by fynbos, apricot and savoury undercurrents.  The bouquet slowly unfurls onto a bold juvenile palate with liquorice, dried peach and cocoa hints to the dry finish.

Muratie Ben Prins Cape Vintage 2011 - Simonsberg-Stellenbosch
