Swartland old vine Chenin makes up the backbone of this white blend, which also includes other Mediterranean varieties. This outstanding Merlot is named after Mount Bullet which stands proud at 1289m above sea level and guards the vineyards from the South Westerly storms. A nose of ripe red fruits such as plums and dark cherries, with earthy complexity and minerality. Good acidity with a well-integrated ripe and seductive tannin structure.

Meerlust Rubicon 2010 - Stellenbosch

The 2010 Rubicon is a classic vintage of this iconic wine, a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Very deep, youthful colour, an intense, almost purple hue. Very classic Rubicon nose with violets, ripe plum, cedar wood and intense spiciness. A typical liquorice note also evident on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, structured but packed with fresh dark fruit and rounded, linear tannins.

Rust & Vrede Estate Red 2012 - Stellenbosch

In this deep crimson red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, the Shiraz is very prominent on the nose, with notes of cedar and cumin in the fore, backed up by cigar box and tobacco aromas. The palate shows more of an Old World style with good complexity and classic blackberry, plum and mulberry flavours.

Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot make this a lovely Bordeaux-style blend. A dark plum-coloured wine with an enticing nose of almonds, coffee and sweet caramel, as well as alluring sniffs of cassis and vanilla pods. Great freshness with hints of blackberry sweetness. A very plush, elegant and mouthfilling palate of sweeter dark berry fruit and minerality.

Anthonij Rupert Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 - Western Cape

Rich spicy fruitcake, cedar and tobacco leaf abundance on the nose. Complex and generous. There’s more of the same in the mouth with a generous abundance of black cherry, nutmeg, clove and cedar spice. Svelte and poised, the wine is superbly elegant with the oak and fruit beautifully integrated. Powerful and big yet leashed with ample depth, breadth and length. The Jem is an expression of the Helderberg - Stellenbosch terroir, and is named after Jeremy Ord, the proprietor of Waterford Estate. It shows restrained aromas of pencil shavings, spices and cassis. An outstanding example of a rich, ripe and luscious fortified dessert wine. The wine has a lovely golden colour. The nose is filled with complex aromas of dried fruits, Muscat grapes and Christmas pudding. The high sugar level of the wine gives it a viscous and decadent mouthfeel. The wine fills the palate with an explosion of dried apricot, peach and nutty flavours.
